Catskill Craftsmen has become the nation's leading manufacturer of ready-to-assemble domestic hardwood kitchen islands, carts, and work-centers. Catskill Craftsmen manufactured items are made from naturally self-sustaining, non-endangered North American hardwoods, primarily Northern Yellow Birch. Lumber is purchased from area sawmills, then dried, manufactured, and packaged on site. All sawdust, shavings and waste materials generated during the manufacturing process is converted into wood pellet fuel, and used to heat homes. This offspring of the Grand Workcenter features a 1.75 inch thick butcher block top that is safe for food preparation. Other features include an 8 inch deep drawer, three chrome towel bars, a slatted shelf, a six bottle wine rack, locking casters, and a drop leaf that adds an extra 10 inch to the depth of the table top. The Baby Grand Workcenter is made from solid Northeastern Hardwood and ships with an oil finish.

A fascinating puzzle, an excellent product, and a great addition to our small kitchen. I debated about the larger size, but the small cart is very ample. I am not an engineer type but I followed the directions, and I, an old grandma, was able to put the cart together in about 4 hours...so proud!...

Has a real nice work table look with a big drawer for storage. Thick top looks like it would last a long time. Its not cheap, but you definitely get what you pay for. I have looked at similar products in places like Ikea and they don't come close. The only issue might be that the assembly directions are not as clear as Ikea's, but better than most. Don't expect to put it together in 10 or 15 minutes- this is a project. They could do a better job at labeling the hardware- for example it was hard to figure out which of several screws to you at one point in the assembly. One more plus- it actually had all the hardware to assemble it.
